Norris School District, Industrial Tech


 This is an advanced woodworking course which requires students to build a furniture

 type project.  Students must have acquired appropriate levels of skill and work ethics

 prior to taking this course.  Students will learn more advanced woodworking operations

 by using a variety of power tools (both stationary and portable).  Proper setup and safety

 procedures will be stressed.  Students will build a wood cabinet/furniture type project of

 their own design and approved by the instructor.  Students will also be required to bring

 a tape measure for lab activities.  Students will be responsible for purchasing all materials

 for their projects.  These can be purchased from the school at predetermined prices or at

 any lumber and hardware supplier.

 

 Prerequisites:    Woods I and II; Recommended:  Engineering Drafting & Design I or CADD
