Norris School District, Hall of Honor

Academic Requirements

1. Top 5% of senior class

    2. Score of 32 or above on ACT or 1350 on SAT

    3. And one of the following

         a.  National Merit Scholar Finalist.

         b. A Presidential Scholar

          c.  Century III Scholar

          d.  A National Honor Society Scholar

          e.  Byrd Scholarship recipient

            f.  Omaha World Herald Academic All-State

Activity Requirements

 1. An individual event champion at the state level in any NSAA sanctioned state championship activity.

 2. State championship teams or casts (NSAA sanctioned activity)

 3. Instrumental music

a. Selection into All-State band, orchestra or jazz band at least two times in three years.

b. Selection into one of the following:

                           1. Hastings Honor Band both junior and senior year

                           2. UNL Honor Band both junior and senior year

                           3. Wesleyan Honor Band for at least three years

c.  Recipient of at least four superior ratings from Band Olympics and/or District Music Contest for solo performances

d.  Recipient of John P. Sousa Band Award or Louis Armstrong Jazz Award

4. Vocal music.

   Current Year Recognition:

Maintain a plaque to recognize current accomplishments of students in fine arts.
