Agriculture Scholarship Program Eligibility: 1. College scholarships available for farm youth pursuing careers in Agriculture. 2. For more information contact FFA advisor or the guidance office. Deadline: February 15
American Legion Scholarship Eligibility: 1. A student must have a parent who is a veteran of the military. 2. A student may submit only one application for a state scholarship and only one application for a national scholarship. 3. A letter of recommendation from the local Unit is required. Financial Data: Varies. Deadline: March 10 *Students who qualify should see Mr. Carlson for a list of Legion scholarships.
AXA Achievement Scholarship: Eligibility: Students should be well rounded, determined to succeed and have demonstrated achievement – at a job, sport or extracurricular activity. Financial Data: -$10,000 state scholarship – one per state. -$10-$15,000 additional scholarships Deadline: December 15
Burger King Scholarship: Eligibility: 1. Has a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to 3.5 maximum 2. Works an average of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (part-time year round). 3. Demonstrates participation in community service and/or co-curricular activities. 4. Demonstrates financial need. 5. Can obtain a written recommendation from both a school official and employer (both of whom are not related to the students), and 6. Plans to enroll in an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational- technical school no later than fall 2007. Financial Data: 1,500—$1,000 scholarships Deadline: December 15
Cargill Community ScholarshipEligibility: 1. Must attend a post-secondary institution in 2006-2007 school year. 2. Winners are selected on their academic achievement, extra-curricular accomplishments; community involvement and work experience. 3. Must be interested in an agriculture related career. Chevrolet/Michelle Kwan R.E.W.A.R.D.S. ScholarshipEligibility: 1. A female student currently completing her senior year of high school with sufficient credits to graduate in the spring term of 2007. 2. Possess a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale. 3. Have demonstrated both academic and athletic excellence through school teams, intramural activities, organized athletic clubs or other community-based sports organizations. 4. Demonstrated leadership and community involvement/volunteerism. 5. Be a citizen or legal resident of the U.S. 6. Intend to enroll in an accredited two or four year college or university as a full-time students during the fall term of 2007. 7. Continued involvement in athletics while in college. 8. Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship Eligibility: Senior with emphasis on individual character, personal merit and background. Elk's "Most Valuable Student" Scholarship Eligibility: Past award winners generally have been in the upper 5% of their class. Twenty percent of the award is based on financial need, thirty-five percent on leadership and forty-five percent on scholarship. Elks National Foundation Legacy Award Eligibility: 1. Any child or grandchild (or step-child or step-grandchild, or legal ward) of an active Elk who has been a member in good standing since at least April 1, 2001, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2001, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2007. Great- grandchildren are not eligible. 2. Must be a high school senior. 3. Must apply through the related member’s Elks Lodge, regardless of where the applicant resides. 4. If the applicant’s parent and grandparent are both Elks members, the applicant should apply through the parent’s Elks Lodge. 5. Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student qualifies for more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. 6. Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)

Horatio Alger Scholarship The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society.
Financial Data: Varies Eligibility: 1. Intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four- year institution). 2. Critical financial need, preferably $50,000 or lower adjusted gross income per family. 3. Involvement in co-curricular and community service activities. 4. Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 5. US citizen or permanent resident. Application Procedure: 1. Students must submit an online application at www.horatioalger.org/scholarships. 2. Students must mail one letter of support. The letter of support should be from an adult who understands your adversity and can describe the unique circumstances in your life. Students must download the certifications page from www.horatioalger.com/scholarships/requiredforms/cfm, complete it and obtain the proper signatures prior to mailing. 4. All applicants must submit a photo copy of the front page of their parent/guardian’s tax return (1040, 1040A, 1040 EZ or 1099 SSA-Social Security form) for either 2005 or 2004 in order to verify income stated on application. Mensa Education & Research Foundation Scholarship Eligibility: 1. Attend a post-secondary institution. 2. Write an essay of fewer than 550 words which describes the applicant's career, vocational, or academic goal. Financial Data: Eight scholarships will be awarded in each of Mensa's nine regional subdivisions of the U.S., making a total of seventy-two scholarships. Deadline: January 15

NFIB Free Enterprise Scholars Award Eligibility: 1. Any student entering their freshman year at an accredited two or four year university, college or vocational institute. 2. Applicants must be nominated by a dues-paying member of NFIB. 3. Applicants must meet or exceed recommended acqademic standards, using standardized test scores (ACT/SAT), class rank and GPA as indicators provided in high school records/transcripts. NFIB Scholarship Eligibility: 1. Any student entering their freshman year at an accredited tow or four year university, college, or vocational institute. 2. Applicants must be nominated by a dues-paying member of NFIB. Outstanding Students of America Scholarship Eligibility: 1. Current senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher. 2. Focus of the scholarship will be on students who are highly active in community/school activities. Financial Data: Several $1,000 scholarships given nationwide. Deadline: October 15
Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship Eligibility: Must be a high school senior planning to pursue a career in education and rank in the upper one-fourth of their high school class. Financial Data: Forty-seven scholarships will be awarded nationwide. Deadline: January 31
Principal's Leadership Award Scholarship Eligibility: Graduating senior in the top 20% of their class. (One senior from Norris is selected to compete nationally). Financial Data: 150 - $1,000 scholarships Deadline: November 5
R.C. Easley National Scholarship Eligibility: Senior planning to attend four year college or university. Financial Data: One - four year scholarship - $6,000 One - four year scholarship - $4,000 One - four year scholarship - $2,000 Ten - $200 scholarships Deadline: February 1 (highly selective)
RMEL Foundation Educational Scholarship Eligibility: The applicant must be a high school senior, high school graduate or college undergraduate. In addition you must fulfill ONE of the following: 1. Be pursuing or plan to pursue an electric industry position certificate or associate degree at a college (community college, 40year college or a 4-year university) and be able to provide information about the specific program you are or will attend and the accreditation status of the institution. 2. Be pursuing or plan to pursue an undergraduate degree with intent to pursue a career in the electric energy industry. 3. Each applicant must have an RMEL member company as a sponsor. Toyota Community Scholars ProgramEligibility: 1. Senior with 3.0 GPA or above. 2. Be activity involved in a service organization or project that has a positive impact on the school and/or community. 3. Plan to pursue an undergraduate degree at an accredited four year college or university in the United States. Financial Data: 100 renewable scholarships valued at $10,000 and $20,000 over four years. Deadline: November 15 Norris can submit only one application. Students interested must submit written information about their service project to Mr. Carlson by November 15.
U.S. Bank Scholarship ProgramTwenty-five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors planning to attend an accredited two or four year college. Apply on line at: www.usbank.com/studentloans between October-2006 and February-2007.
United States Jaycee International Senate FoundationEligibility: Graduating high school seniors in the United States who plan to continue their education at an accredited post-secondary college, university or vocational school. Financial Data: $1,000 awards Deadline: January 10 2007 Sam Walton Community Scholarship (Wal-Mart) Eligibility: 1. Must not be a Wal-Mart employee or immediate relative of an employee. 2.
