LEARN TO DREAM SCHOLARSHIP
The Learn to Dream Scholarship was established to create an opportunity for every graduating Norris High School student to further their education by attending Southeast Community College (SCC) in Lincoln, Milford or Beatrice.

SCC and Norris Pubic Schools have partnered with the Norris Foundation to offer this innovative scholarship program. Through the program, students will be able to attend SCC for approximately one year of classes (45 quarter credits) without having to pay for tuition and fees. The program will be offered to eligible students who graduate from Norris High School.

All Norris graduating seniors who qualify for free or reduced priced meals (as defined by the U.S. Department of Agriculture) are eligible for the scholarship. The website to find the income guidelines for free or reduced meals is www.education.ne.gov/NS/income.htm

Once enrolled at SCC, the student must maintain a 2.0 grade-point average to maintain eligibility. Eligible students in the 11th or 12th grade may enroll in “dual credit” courses that provide credit for both the high school and SCC. The program will pay tuition and fees and these shall count toward the 45 credit hours available to each student.

Students must do the following to be eligible for the Learn to Dream Scholarship:

  1. Apply and be accepted to one of the SCC campuses

  2. Complete the FAFSA form to determine financial aid eligibility

  3. Complete the Learn to Dream application and Sharing of Information form
