Responsibility
Responsibility is being dependable & accountable for your words and actions. Responsible people think ahead, figure out how an action might affect themselves and other people, and choose to do what will be best for themselves and for others. They don't make excuses or blame others for their behavior, and accept the rewards or punishments that follow because of their choices.
Parents may reinforce responsible behavior at home by:
Pointing out to your child that all people have responsibilities to themselves, their families, their neighbors, their employers, and their communities.
Brainstorm about some of those responsibilities and explain why they are important.
Avoid making excuses or blaming others when you make a mistake. Let your child see that you are accountable for your own choices.
Apologize when you are wrong. If you are not afraid to say you are sorry, your child won't be either.

RESPONSIBLE acts by students are recorded on pumpkins and placed in the pumpkin patch in the front hall.
