Perseverance
Perseverance is the character trait that helps you stick with an activity, even when it is difficult. Perseverance is having a goal that matters to you and staying focused on it; working steadily and not giving up, no matter how hard it gets. People with perseverance finish what they start, and aren't afraid to make mistakes along the way. They accept challenges as they arise, and work to find ways to overcome them.
PERSEVERANCE IS NOT GIVING UP!!!
Parents may reinforce perseverance by:
Setting long-term goals as a family, and working toward them while charting your progress.
Sharing examples of a time when you had to demonstrate perseverance in order to accomplish a goal (learning to ride a bike, going to college to earn a degree, training to run in a marathon, etc.).
