Character Congress members are 4th grade students who apply and are chosen by the Character Committee to promote good character at Norris Elementary.
A Character Congress commitment involves:
Being a student of good character wherever you go and whatever you do
Striving daily to demonstrate and encourage others to practice the word of the month and pillars of character
Helping to plan and participate in school assemblies and theme days (write scripts for and act in skits)
Representing students in your grade by collecting ideas and feedback
Meeting and planning occasionally during lunch and recess
Promoting/advertising activities at school which promote good character
