During your 4th grade year you will be learning all about Nebraska's history. We have great books called Nebraska Adventure! These books make reading and learning about Nebraska fun and exciting. We have two very important field trips this year that will also enhance your understanding of our great state.

#1 Heritage School: On this field trip we will be taking a trip back to the pioneer days where we will learn what it was like to go to a one room school house! You will dress like a pioneer, pack a pioneer lunch, and Mrs. Walker will teach you like pioneer children!

#2 Homestead National Monument: Load up the busses, we are going visit Daniel Freemen's original homestead at the Homestead National Monument in Beatrice, Nebraska!!! We will have five different fun and interactive sessions to participate in during this field trip.  Don't forget to bring a sack lunch!

State Capitol: Have you ever visited the Nebraska State Capitol?  What an amazing building this is.  We study  the Capitol and learn about the amazing history of the building, our government, and the people that work there! Do you know what is standing on top of the Nebraska State Capitol? How big is it?
