December, 2007
I teach in the high school at
Norris Public Schools.
I graduated from the
University
of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.S. in Consumer Science Education,
and completed
my masters degree in
Curriculum & Instruction from Doane College -
Lincoln. I continue to take graduate coursework.
Originally from Fairbury, Nebraska, home of the
Jeffs,
I began my teaching career
at Norris in 1998, teaching grades 8-12. Classes I teach for the 2009-2010
school year are:
Teen Economics,
Housing Design,
Food &
Nutrition I,
Food Science,
LIFE,
Child Development &
Parenting.
I enjoy the students, I enjoy watching their successes and I always like it when
high school students find their strengths and use them. At Norris,
I am the Student Council Sponsor,
Cheerleader Sponsor
&
Homecoming Coordinator. And those
are great organizations to watch students come full circle.
The best part of our life is the addition of Thomas,
born in 2007. This is how we
spend much of our time - with him!
My husband Wes, also a Norris teacher, and I, enjoy spending time together with
our family, golfing, cooking, music events,
traveling to visit my niece Evelyn and nephews William and Harrison
in Springfield, MO,
Nebraska Game Day Saturday's
in Lincoln
& traveling to visit friends & relatives.
