8th Grade FCS
8th Grade FCS encompasses
subjects
from
food and nutrition
to etiquette to leadership.
Students
focus on how to eat and what to eat,
including the main nutrients; how much of certain foods to
eat daily and what foods do to and for our bodies.
Students work collectively as a class in a lab setting.
Students will be invited to participate
in a few projects; a culminating etiquette project,
a nutrients project and a project working with
the revised food guide pyramid.
Finally, students will look at twelve ideal strengths
needed for teamwork and success
with friends, family and the community.
Mrs. Price teaches a section of
this class as well.
