Food and Nutrition I



Food and Nutrition I looks at what and how to eat.  
We focus on incorporating healthy eating patterns to one's lifestyle, and focus several weeks on sports nutrition and its ability to make (or break) an athlete.
Time management in the preparation of food,
safety and food preparation techniques, and the amount of money spent and saved on food is addressed. 
The importance of planning, preparing, and serving nutritionally adequate meals based upon the Food Guide Pyramid
and the Dietary Guidelines are emphasized.
