Titans Defeat Antlers in Dramatic Fashion

On Tuesday, October 10th - the Norris 8th Grade Football team picked up a win in its season finale against Elkhorn Middle School. The Titans won their fourth game of the year 28-26.

The Titans and Antlers started the game in barn-burning fashion. Each team marched down the field on each other, with four touchdowns occurring in the first quarter. The Antlers held the advantage at the end of the quarter after recovering a Titan fumble. The second quarter belonged to the Titans, the Titan offense, behind the offensive line play of Isaiah Jacobsen, Vince Colson, Gavin Novotny, J.T. Behrends, Dawson Burenheide, and Hunter Hudson.

Dylan Mostek scored twice for the Titans on long TD runs. Ben Landgren also scored twice running hard up the middle. The Titans had a 28-14 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Antlers used the passing game to get back into the game and cut the Titan lead to 2 points (28 to 26). With about 7 minutes left in the game, the Titan Offense methodically marched down the field to knock almost 6 minutes off of the clock. After the Titans turned it over on downs, Cooper Spaulding came up with an interception to seal the Titan victory.

The Titans finish the season 4-2.

Words from Coach Kendall

"One of the most exciting years of football I have been a part of. So glad I got to work with these fine young men every day for the past two months. The amount of growth that occurred over the season was outstanding. The future is bright for Norris Football! I cannot wait to see this group in action next year as Freshmen. Make sure to get in the weight room this summer :) Also - wrestle, play basketball ... go out for other sports! Thanks to parents, teachers, and family members for coming to watch and support these young men."
