A tight game was decided in the sixth inning as the Norris Titans Varsity fell to Elkhorn 7-3 in seven innings on Friday.

Austin Schultz reached base three times in the game for the Norris Titans Varsity. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Evan Sinz got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He tossed 3 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Sinz struck out two, walked three and gave up two hits.

Maison Burnley was charged with the loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The bottom of the second saw the Norris Titans Varsity take an early lead, 1-0. A single by Schultz, scoring Will Reetz started the inning off.

The Norris Titans Varsity brought home one run in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the third, the Norris Titans Varsity scored on an RBI double by Reetz, plating Spencer Johnson.

Elkhorn went up for good in the sixth, scoring five runs on a two-run home run by Tanner Hunt, a sacrifice fly by Drew Smith, and a two-run single by Connor Fowler.
