The Norris Titans outhit Ralston in 7-4 defeat

The Norris Titans Varsity won the hit battle 12-6 on Tuesday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 7-4 in seven innings to Ralston.

Austin Schultz reached base three times in the game for the Norris Titans Varsity. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Jackson Tingwald recorded the win for Ralston. He allowed four runs over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered 11 hits.

Jesse Brown couldn't get it done on the hill for the Norris Titans Varsity, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked four and struck out three.

Ralston closer Thomas Webster put away the final two outs to record the save.

The bottom of the second saw the Norris Titans Varsity take an early lead, 3-0. Ethan Ormonde singled to ignite the Norris Titans Varsity's offense. A groundout by Will Reetz then moved Ethan Ormonde from first to second. Grant Morrison singled, plating Ethan Ormonde. The Norris Titans Varsity pushed more runs across when Morrison and Brown scored on a two-run single by Maison Burnley.

The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as Ralston scored four runs on a two-run error, a sacrifice fly by Nate Sailors, and an RBI single by Tingwald.

Ralston increased its lead with two runs in the sixth. Jared Remar started the inning with a double, scoring Easton Lavicky.

The Norris Titans Varsity scored one run in the bottom of the seventh to cut their deficit to three. A solo home run by Schultz triggered the Norris Titans Varsity's comeback. Ralston closed the game out when Webster got Reetz to ground into a double play.
