Description
This course is the continuing study of the complete field of theatre. The
emphasis of this class is the technical aspects of theatre. The course will
examine the various components of technical theatre such as lights, sound, set,
costumes, make up, hair, props and planning.
Course Objectives
1. Students will develop an understanding of the team concept in theatre.
2. Students will understand the technical theatre terminology.
3. Students will prepare a play for production.
4. Students will design a set for production.
Writing Activities
1. Students will write on the various technical aspects of theatre and the
affect each has on another.
Multicultural Activities
1. Students will be exposed to contributions to theatre from all races.
