Units 1-12

DESCRIPTION

Applied Mathematics 1 uses reading, laboratory activities, video tapes and video problems, discussions, and word problems from the work place in addressing many of the concepts covered in secondary school mathematics. Typical concepts incorporated in Applied Mathematics I include use of a calculator, renaming numbers, problem-solving techniques, estimating answers, English and Metric units, graphs, charts, tables and working with data.

Applied Mathematics 2 uses reading, laboratory activities, videotapes and video problems, discussions, and word problems from the work place in addressing many of the concepts covered in secondary school mathematics. Typical concepts incorporated in Applied Mathematics I include use of a calculator, renaming numbers, problem-solving techniques, estimating answers, English and Metric units, graphs, charts, tables and working with data.

Prerequisite: Freshman standing or greater.
