DESCRIPTION
VIDEO PRODUCTION is an two-semester independent study course that utilizes the
Norris intranet as a resource. Students must have a working knowledge of
Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Students will need the
approval of the teacher before being enrolled in the class.
Topics studied include the use of digital cameras and the software used to edit
the pictures and video. The class will require some time taking pictures and
video taping events outside of the classroom. Students will have one or more
projects assigned to them during the year that will be shown at activity
banquets, classroom discussions, school convocations, etc.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. The student will be able to use a digital still camera.
2. The student will be able to use editing software for digital pictures such as
Adobe Photoshop.
3. The student will be able to use a digital video camera.
4. The student will be able to use editing software for digital video such as
Adobe Premiere.
5. The student will be able to create a video for use as entertainment or
classroom instruction.
WRITING ACTIVITIES
1. Video Production is an independent study course and requires communication
skills between student and teacher. An online bulletin board will be made
available for this purpose. It will allow the student to ask questions, answer
questions and report their progress in the class.
