AP American History

Advanced Placement United States History is a course designed to provide students with analytical skills and factual knowledge necessary to deal critically with the content in American history.  The course work prepares students for intermediate and advanced college courses.  The students are asked to study American History, from its inception to modern-day, including political, social economic, and diplomatic affairs.  There is a heavy emphasis on writing and the interpretation of primary sources.  The class is designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement United States History exam in May of each year.  If students pass the test in May, they are given three hours of college credit.
Offered on alternating years.  Scheduled for 2014-15.
