This semester, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department, the Lincoln Police Department, and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office are partnering again to combat youth initiation of nicotine products.  Many of you are probably already aware of the LLCHD Tobacco and Vapor Product Compliance Check Program, and the excellent opportunity it provides to youth looking to complete requisite volunteer hours for GoPo, Scouts, or other organizations.  Please feel free to disseminate the attached brochure and link to 16-18 year-olds in your network as soon as possible this spring. Checks will begin in late January/early February. As a reminder of why these checks are so important, the vapor product compliance checks in 2019 resulted in a slightly higher non-compliance rate..  To help reverse this trend, it is vital to continue this program and the youth volunteers make that possible For more information about this opportunity, visit: https://tobaccofreelancastercounty.org/compliance-checks/
