Norris 2006 Acadec Team: (L-R) Tom Brazee, Andy Taylor, Tyler Lustrea, Kyle Lococo, Dylan Arthur, Cody Wedding, Leah Keralis, Shane Lowe, Andrea Wiggins, Chris Ernst, Amanda Eastham

"This year's team was very balanced, with strong contributions all the members of the team, " stated Coach Tom Brazee.  "Other years we have had some very dominant people and less balance.  This year we didn't have any really dominate, but there were no particularly weak areas."

Individually, Andy Taylor (Varsity) and Andrea Wiggins (Scholastic) both finished with the second highest score in their respective divisions.  Shane Lowe finished with the fifth highest score among the Honors students and was just 140 points below the top scorer in the meet. Kyle Lococo finished sixth in the Scholastic division.  A special distinction goes to freshman Dylan Arthur who dominated the Scholastic alternate division and posted the same total score as Andrea Wiggins.

Norris and Omaha Gross both garnered 33 medals, Gretna took home 28 and Seward 22. Norris won the publicly-competed Super Quiz event with a score of 27, with Seward second at 26, while Omaha Gross and Gretna tied for third with 25.

Leading the medal parade for Norris were Andy Taylor and Dylan Arther who both won six medals.  Amanda Eastham won five medals while Kyle Lococo and Andrea Wiggins both won four.

The three top teams in the regional (and possibly a fourth) will advance on to the state competition at Creighton University on Friday and Saturday, February 17-18.
