Tiburon Golf Club
The Norris boys golf team plays Tiburon golf club during the Gretna Invite. This fairly new course is located just off of Interstate 80 east of Gretna. If you are a short and accurate hitter, this is not the course for you. It is a 27 hole golf facility that requires a low and long drive. The 1999 team experienced how important a low shot was when they played in 50+ mph winds during their entire round. On the Great White course the hole that stands out is number 9. Many people don't think nothing about pulling out driver on their tee shot, but this hole you have to think twice before pulling out the big stick. To reach the water it takes only about a 280 yard drive. With last years length on the team not many of the team members even pulled out a 3 wood, except "Eddie" of course! The second shot then requires a very accurate short iron into a deep but skinny green guarded by bunkers short, left, and right.
