EMC Art Show, 2009

Each year student are honored for their hard work and talent by being selected to represent Norris High School and the Eastern Midlands Conference.

This year students traveled to the Durham Western Heritage Museum located in Omaha's Old Market on Wednesday, April 22nd.  Student's participated in three art related sessions and viewed the artwork that was on display from the other schools in our conference.  The sessions that the students participated in included a presentation by Adjunct UNO Art Instructor Jody Boyer on "What is Digital Art?", a presentation by UNO Professor of Art and History David Helm on "Design & Fabrication Of Sculpture" and a presentation by Art Historian Patrick McCormick on "Omaha Buildings and their connection to Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome."

Students that participated in this years EMC art show were: Erin Schoenbeck, Sadie Hoesing, Anne Wohlers, Lindsey Oelling, Matt Wheeler, Jordan Funk, Daniel Rogge, Samantha Areman, Russell Price, Mike Wheeler, Stuart Horacek, Natasha Hahn, and Olivia German
