Our new teachers for 2006-2007:

            -The growth of Norris has allowed us to hire additional teachers to meet the needs of our students in crucial areas, specifically science and social studies.  We hired early and had a plethora of highly qualified candidates from which to make our selections.  To say we got blue chip recruits is an understatement; we are confident we hired the very highest caliber teaching talent available from a very large field of applicants in both positions.  These teachers will bring exceptional instructional skills and excellent student relationship skills to the classroom.  We are thrilled to have retained the services of Mr. Hutzler and Mr. Harrington in science and social studies, respectively.  To learn more about these two, stay apprised of their latest instructional feats by checking their teacher web pages on the Norris website later this year.

            In the English department, we welcome Maureen Worden back and are excited to have the opportunity to retain Jamie Kernes as a half-time English teacher.  Mrs. Kernes did an outstanding job last year for us as an interim teacher while Mrs. Worden was out.  With Mrs. Worden returning, we had a win-win scenario as we were able to keep Mrs. Kernes half time in the high school to continue her excellent work with our students.
