8th Grade FCS 

 

8th Grade FCS encompasses subjects from food and nutrition to etiquette to leadership. 
Students focus on how to eat and what to eat, including the six main nutrients;
how much of certain foods to eat and what foods do what for our bodies. 

Students work collectively as a class in a lab setting.  Students will be invited to
participate in a few projects; a culminating etiquette project, a nutrients project
and a project working with the revised food guide pyramid. 

Finally, students will look at twelve ideal strengths needed for teamwork and success
with friends, family and the community.

 

Mrs. Price teaches an afternoon section of this class as well.
