Norris is a Class B, K-12, North Central Accredited School District of approximately 2000 students and 230 staff members located just south of Lincoln.  Norris was consolidated in 1964 from Cortland, Firth, Hickman, Holland, Panama, Princeton, Roca and the surrounding area. Visit InterLinc for information on the surrounding towns & area. Norris is a progressive school district organized on a PS-4, 5-8, 9-12 basis with modern facilities and excellent technology capabilities. 

Norris is currently accepting applications for the following positions for the 2008-2009 school year.

  • High School Secretary
    Norris High School is accepting applications for the position of high school secretary. This is a 9 month position as a clerical member of the high school team, performing general office duties to assist students, staff, and members of the public. The secretary will work in conjunction with the HS Executive Secretary to provide all requested secretarial services. The secretary will serve as a receptionist in addition to fulfilling all assigned clerical tasks, including sub calling and assignment of substitutes to fill teacher absences, which requires some evening and early morning hours responding to teacher absences and placing substitute teachers. Other responsibilities include maintenance and input of student attendance and disciplinary records and all related correspondence for these purposes. Requirements for the position include aptitude with Microsoft Office suite programs, ability to run office switchboard and receive incoming calls and in a timely and accurate manner. Applicant will be required to become proficient in use and application of student information system. Skills desired include effective communications skills, enthusiasm, positivity, and the ability to multitask.
